Western Network News (Reporter Hui Xuanxuan Yang Yanning) On the morning of September 20, the 8th Silk Expo opened in Xi'an. At the meeting, Kim Nam-wook, chief representative of the Xi'an Representative Office of the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, was interviewed by a reporter from the starting point news and western network.
Kim Nam-wook told reporters that at this year's Silk Expo, more than 50 companies from South Korea participated in the exhibition, mainly to show South Korea's cosmetics, specialty foods and other products, including more than 10 emerging technology companies. Among the exhibitors, 20 companies participated in the 7th Silk Road Expo last year, and this is the second time to participate in the exhibition.
Kim Nam-wook, chief representative of the Xi'an Representative Office of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, was interviewed by a reporter from the starting point news and western network.
"Many exhibitors said that they have gained a lot, for example, last year some exhibitors have found new cooperation units, this year these companies hope to use the platform of the Silk Expo, with Xi'an as the center, radiating to Gansu, Ningxia and even the five northwest provinces of exchanges and cooperation." Jin Nanxu said that Xi'an is the starting point of the ancient Silk Road, and enterprises participating in the Silk Expo regard Xi'an as an important gateway for exchanges with the countries that jointly build the "Belt and Road". "These exhibitors are not only based on the local market in Shaanxi, but also hope to explore more cooperation channels through Shaanxi, which is why they have participated in the Silk Expo many times."
Kim Nam-wook said, for example, that a South Korean food company and its Chinese partner have built a joint venture factory that can distribute their products to the five northwestern provinces and export them to Central Asia. "We hope that through the Silk Expo, we can bring Korean products to local consumers, and at the same time radiate to a larger market and open up more possibilities." Kim Nam-wook said.
