The 9th Silk Expo will be held from May 21 to 25 at the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center. The Silk Expo provides an important exchange platform for promoting intergovernmental policy communication, investment negotiation between enterprises, bulk trade and project cooperation between China and the countries that jointly build the Belt and Road, and makes positive contributions to Shaanxi's deep integration into the overall pattern of the Belt and Road Initiative and the continuous deepening of all-round trade and investment cooperation and exchanges.

The Silk Road International Expo and China's East-West Cooperation, Investment and Trade Symposium is held in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province in mid-May every year, and is co-sponsored by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, the China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government.
