On September 23, the "Belt and Road" Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference and the Signing Ceremony of Foreign Investment and Foreign Trade Projects in Tongchuan New Area were held. This is also a continuation of the activities of foreign exchanges, project negotiation and signing in the new area of the 8th Silk Expo.

During the event, the leaders and guests watched the promotional video of Bazar Kurgan District, Jalalabad Oblast, Kyrgyzstan, and Karagulov Mirlan gave a detailed introduction to the tourism, agriculture, industry and culture of Bazar Kurgan District. He said that this inspection and study has gained a better understanding of the history, culture and economic development of Tongchuan and even Shaanxi, and has laid a good foundation for further strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the two places in a wider range of fields. He firmly believes that in the future, there will be broader prospects for cooperation between the two places in agriculture, industry, tourism and food processing industries.

Ren Qinchuan said in his speech that the new area, as the political, economic and cultural center of Tongchuan City, is an important carrier for the development of advanced manufacturing and strategic emerging industrial clusters, and has obvious location advantages. In recent years, the new area has fully implemented the development strategy of "expanding opening up, relying on upgrading, optimizing structure, and project-driven", taking the creation of national high-tech zones as the overall control, vigorously developing the four major industries of "intelligent manufacturing, biomedicine, food processing, and business services", focusing on scientific and technological innovation, and carefully creating a good environment for an open economy by making good use of various project incentive policies, optimizing the investment environment, deepening the reform of the foreign investment management system, simplifying the approval process for foreign investment, and improving the transparency and stability of foreign investment policies. Bazar Kurgan District has a good industrial and agricultural foundation, convenient highway transportation, and obvious advantages in opening up and cooperation with the new area. He hoped that the new area could join hands with the Kurgan District of Bazar to share friendship, make every effort to promote in-depth foreign economic and trade cooperation, and make greater contributions to the development of export-oriented economy.

At the signing ceremony, the new area signed more than 20 cooperation agreements and production and marketing contracts with enterprises related to the "Belt and Road". Up to now, a total of 61 projects have been signed in the new area of this Silk Expo, involving an amount of 10.15 billion yuan.

Before the event, the business delegation of Bazar Kurgan District, Jalalabad Region, Kyrgyzstan also visited more than 10 industrial enterprises and modern agricultural industrial parks in the new area. (Correspondent Ren Gaoming)
