On September 20, the 8th Silk Road International Expo and China East-West Cooperation and Investment and Trade Fair (hereinafter referred to as the "Silk Expo") was grandly opened at the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center, with the theme of "Deepening Connectivity and Expanding Economic and Trade Cooperation", aiming to promote in-depth cooperation and exchanges in many fields between countries and regions along the Silk Road. As an important force supporting China's foreign trade and investment and international economic cooperation, the Export-Import Bank of China Shaanxi Branch actively participates in it, demonstrating its active role in promoting the development of an open economy.

Since its establishment, the Export-Import Bank of China, as a state-owned policy bank directly under the State Council, has shouldered the important responsibility of supporting China's foreign trade, cross-border investment and the construction of the "Belt and Road". Its Shaanxi branch, as a key branch in the western region, not only serves Shaanxi itself, but also radiates to Qinghai and Ningxia provinces, and has become an important financial engine to promote regional economic development.

At the Silk Expo, the Export-Import Bank of China Shaanxi Branch introduced to the participants the remarkable achievements of the bank in supporting the construction of the "Belt and Road", promoting the operation of the China-Europe Express "Chang'an", and helping the export of automotive equipment through a series of exhibitions and exchange activities. It is reported that the bank has provided more than 4 billion yuan of credit funds to the operation of the "Chang'an", becoming its largest financing support bank, effectively promoting the convenience and efficiency of China-EU trade. At the same time, the bank also supports the export of automotive equipment, helps local brands such as Shaanxi Automobile to go global, and contributes an important force to the internationalization process of China's automotive equipment industry.

The outstanding performance of the Shaanxi Branch of the Export-Import Bank of China has also been highly recognized by the Shaanxi Provincial Government. In 2023, the bank was awarded the title of "Advanced Unit of Financial Institutions Supporting Shaanxi's Economic Development", and its work results were affirmed by the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government. As of the end of June 2024, the bank's assets have reached nearly 110 billion yuan, fully demonstrating its strong strength and influence in the field of policy finance.

In the future, the Export-Import Bank of China Shaanxi Branch said that it will continue to adhere to the responsibilities and missions of policy-based finance, closely focus on the development strategies of Shaanxi, Qinghai and Ningxia provinces and the needs of regional coordinated development, and continue to innovate financial products and service models, so as to provide more comprehensive, efficient and convenient financial support for the development of open economy. The bank will actively integrate into the overall situation of the Belt and Road Initiative, deepen economic and trade cooperation with the countries and regions it has built, and contribute more "financial strength" to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
