The Silk Road International Expo and China's East-West Cooperation, Investment and Trade Symposium is held in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province in mid-May every year, and is co-sponsored by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, the China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government. With the strong support of national ministries and commissions and the active participation of Chinese and foreign enterprises, the Silk Expo has achieved fruitful results, and has played an important role as a platform for promoting the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road", building a highland for inland reform and opening up, and promoting interaction and cooperation between the eastern and western regions.
