China is a country that takes coal as its main energy source and has very rich coal resources. Using coal as raw material to produce cheap hydrogen sources to supply end users, and centralized treatment of hazardous wastes to reduce pollution to the lowest level is a hydrogen production route with Chinese characteristics, which will be a realistic road for China's hydrogen development in a period of time. In this project, coal hydrogen production technology is combined with carbon capture, utilization and storage technology to transform coal resources into hydrogen energy and reduce carbon emissions.

Hydrogen energy is clean, efficient and convenient. China's fossil energy reserves are characterized by "rich coal and less gas". Therefore, China's hydrogen production from fossil fuels is dominated by coal based hydrogen production, which has a great development prospect in China. The core equipment of hydrogen production from coal is the coal gasification furnace, which is a large equipment with high fixed cost and suitable for large-scale centralized production. The project aims to improve the layout of the whole hydrogen energy industry chain, attract upstream and downstream enterprises to gather, form industrial clusters, enhance industrial synergy, and promote the large-scale and intensive development of the hydrogen energy industry. This project will help the park transform from traditional fossil energy to clean low-carbon hydrogen energy and other new energy, and optimize the energy structure.
