Baota Mountain, located in Baota District, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province, was built during the Tang Dynasty and was an integral part of the Yan'an Revolutionary Site and a landmark building in Yan'an City.
Baota Mountain integrates historical relics and revolutionary sites, integrates cultural landscape and natural landscape, covers an area of 360,000 square meters, and has an altitude of 1,135.5 meters, which is the crown of the surrounding mountains.
In 1961, Baota Mountain was approved by the State Council as the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units; In 2019, the Yan'an Revolution Memorial Scenic Area, where Baota Mountain is located, was rated as a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Baota Mountain has been rated as a national red tourism classic scenic spot, a provincial safe scenic spot and a provincial civilized scenic spot.
