Baoji Bronze Museum is located in the national 4A-level scenic spot China Stone Drum Park at the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains and the south bank of the Weihe River, and is a county-level full institution under the Baoji Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics. It is a national first-class museum that mainly collects, researches and displays the bronze culture of the Zhou and Qin dynasties.

　　The predecessor of the Baoji Bronze Museum was the Baoji City Cultural Relics and History Exhibition Room in 1956, and was renamed the Baoji City Museum in 1958. On September 8, 1998, it moved to Park South Road and was renamed Baoji Bronze Museum, becoming the first bronze culture museum named after bronzes in China. With the rapid development of Baoji cultural and museum undertakings, in order to meet the growing spiritual and cultural needs of the masses, enhance the cultural taste of the city, and create the cultural brand of Baoji Zhouqin civilization and the "hometown of bronze", after four years of planning and construction, Baoji Bronze Museum was completed on September 28, 2010 in Shigu Mountain, the birthplace of the "first antiquity in China" --- stone drum, and officially opened to the public free of charge.

　　The architectural shape of the Baoji Bronze Museum adopts the architectural language of high platform gate que and bronze thick soil, which is magnificent and majestic. The construction area is 34,800 square meters, the cultural relics warehouse area is 5,000 square meters, the exhibition hall area is 11,000 square meters, the cultural relics restoration and protection laboratory is 500 square meters, and there are more than 480,000 pieces of cultural relics such as bronze, ceramics, jade, inscriptions, calligraphy and paintings, bronze mirrors, coins, etc., including 3,245 precious cultural relics. The number of cultural relics is large, the variety is complete, the grade is high, the value is great, especially the Shang and Zhou bronzes are famous in the world.

　　The exhibition of Baoji Bronze Museum includes three series: basic exhibition, special exhibition and temporary exhibition.

　　The basic display of "Bronze Casting Civilization" has four parts: "Bronze Township", "State of Zhou Li", "Imperial Road" and "Light of Wisdom", bringing together more than 1,500 pieces of Shang and Zhou bronzes unearthed in Baoji area, including more than 100 pieces of national treasures such as He Zun, Qianpan and Qin Gonglu.

Spring and Autumn - Ancient Ceramics and Cultural Life Exhibition", "Bright Moon Shines on Qiongju - Ancient Jade and Art Life Exhibition" are three permanent special exhibitions, which are the continuation and supplement of the basic display narrative and a deeper interpretation of Baoji regional culture.

　　Temporary exhibitions include two categories: self-curated original exhibitions and introduced exchange exhibitions, with an average of more than 10 exhibitions held every year. Among them, the original exhibition "China in Cultural Relics" was recommended by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage as the 2019 "Promoting the Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture and Cultivating the Core Values of Socialism" 100 Excellent Cultural Relics Exhibition Theme Exhibition, and the "12th National Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition" was undertaken, which attracted calligraphy lovers from all over the country to visit, enriched the cultural life of Baoji citizens, and inherited and carried forward the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation.

　　Since its opening in September 2010, the Baoji Bronze Museum has received wide attention from all walks of life, receiving more than 9.6 million visitors. With the strong support and care of governments at all levels and cultural relics authorities, the hardware facilities of Baoji Bronze Museum have been continuously improved, and the cultural relics work has been comprehensively promoted. Not only the cultural relics storage equipment has been upgraded, but also the infrastructure and equipment for cultural relics detection and protection and restoration have been added, realizing the remote monitoring of the cultural relics collection and exhibition environment, and laying the foundation for us to better and more scientifically protect and utilize cultural relics.

　　After the unremitting efforts of several generations of Baoji cultural museums, Baoji Bronze Museum was promoted to "National First-class Museum" in 2017, and is now the executive director unit of the Chinese Museums Association, and has been named "National Women's Civilization Post", "Chinese Overseas Chinese International Cultural Exchange Base", "Shaanxi Provincial Patriotism Education Base", "Shaanxi Provincial Lei Feng Activity Demonstration Site", "Shaanxi Provincial Science Education Base", "Provincial Safety Unit of the Provincial Cultural Protection System" and "Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics System Fire Safety Unit".
