"In recent years, Yanchang Petroleum has increased its efforts in oil exploration and development, ensured national energy security, and contributed to local economic and social development." Wan Yongping said, "Up to now, Yanchang Petroleum's oil and gas equivalent has reached 20 million tons. At the same time, we have strengthened the pace of green and low-carbon high-quality development, and we have been exploring carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) technology since 2007. ”

Wan Yongping introduced that Yanchang Petroleum captures low-cost carbon dioxide from coal chemical enterprises and injects it into oil and gas reservoirs to drive oil and gas, improve the degree of crude oil recovery, and achieve the effect of sequestering carbon dioxide. "At present, we have built a demonstration project for carbon dioxide flooding and storage, and in terms of natural gas, we have completed the world's first pilot test of carbon dioxide flooding and storage in tight gas reservoirs."

"As an oil and gas company, in the future, we will continue to strengthen exploration and application, continue to increase carbon dioxide capture through CCUS technology, increase carbon dioxide injection and increase carbon dioxide storage, so as to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and promote ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin."
