Yan'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall is located in the northwest of Baota District, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province, China, on the east bank of the Yan River. Yan'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall was established on July 1, 1950 and is one of the earliest revolutionary memorial halls built after the founding of New China.
The Yan'an Revolution Memorial Hall covers an area of 238 acres, with a main construction area of 29,853 square meters and a basic exhibition area of 10,677 square meters. It has nearly 36,000 pieces of cultural relics, more than 10,000 historical photos and more than 30,000 books. It is a revolutionary memorial hall integrating collection, display, research and publicity.
In 1997, the Yan'an Revolution Memorial Hall was included in the first batch of national patriotic education demonstration bases; In 2008, the Yan'an Revolution Memorial Hall was rated as the first batch of national first-class museums; In 2020, the Yan'an Revolution Memorial Hall was rated as a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction.
From June 4, 2024, the Yan'an Revolution Memorial Hall will be fully booked for visits.
