Historical stories
The Chinese Communist Party liberated Nanniwan
A hundred years ago, it was densely populated, well-watered, fertile, and prosperous in production and economy. In the middle of the Qing Dynasty, the Qing rulers provoked disputes between the Hui and Han ethnic groups and killed each other, turning the place into a desolate place overgrown with weeds, thorns, sparse people, and infested with wild beasts. Later, the Chinese Communist Party liberated Nanniwan. Since then, Nanniwan has become the birthplace of the People's Liberation Army of the Communist Party of China and the birthplace of the spirit of Nanniwan.
Mass production movement
In March 1941, the 359th Brigade of the Eighth Route Army, under the leadership of brigade commander Wang Zhen, launched the famous large-scale production campaign in Nanniwan. In the spring of 1941, due to the economic blockade imposed by the Kuomintang reactionaries on the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningbo border area and the anti-Japanese base areas at that time, it was impossible to transport materials from outside, so the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China ordered the 359th Brigade of the Eighth Route Army to be stationed in Nanniwan to carry out reclamation and production to save itself. If you don't have a house, you dig a cave by yourself; If you don't have vegetables, dig wild vegetables and eat them; Without tools, they made their own hoes and shovels, and with amazing perseverance, they planted crops in the barren mountains and mountains. In a short period of three years, the 359th Brigade led by Brigade Commander Wang Zhen carried forward the revolutionary spirit of "self-reliance and arduous struggle" and turned Nanniwan, which was full of thorns and wilderness and uninhabited, into a good Jiangnan in northern Shaanxi where "crops are everywhere and cattle and sheep are everywhere."
